Secondment From March 2007, through The Goalkeeping Coach Consultancy Service, Simon is looking to disseminate the information gained through his year long research programme. Through the DTI Global Watch Secondment Scheme, Simon has been involved in a year long secondment funded by the DTI spending time in Canada and the UK, investigating the ‘Biomechanics of Goalkeeping’ in order to write a guide of goalkeeping techniques based on scientific research. Simon feels this research will help to take goalkeepers to the next level of performance and also have a cross over to other sports such as cricket wicket keeping and fielding and baseball fielding to name but two.
